Drink coffee for weight loss maintenance after a diet

Researchers advise 2-4 cups of coffee a day for weight loss maintenance after a diet.

Obesity is a serious medical problem that leads to a lot of complications. Factors like diet, lifestyle, and stress all contribute to the development of this disease. Losing weight is an ordeal for a lot of people. And for those who make it, keeping the lost weight from coming back is the next goal. Weight loss maintenance is a bigger task.

Then comes coffee. We already have scientific evidence that coffee aids in weight loss, both in stimulating fat burning and in preventing formation of fat cells. In a recent study published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition (11 Nov 2015), researchers reported that subjects who consumed 2-4 cups of coffee a day had lower body mass index than those who consumed little or no coffee. They concluded that coffee not only supports weight loss but also helps maintain that loss. Now you can continue to enjoy your coffee and know that it also helps weigh loss maintenance.

However, the study did not consider the intake of fancy coffees. Coffee loaded with sugar and cream might not be as effective for obvious reasons.
